Cheap Braves Tickets 2024: How to Save Money on Atlanta Baseball Games

So, you’re looking for cheap Atlanta Braves tickets for today’s games (or a future matchup) at Truist Park. You’ve come to the right place as we walk you through the exact steps to save money.

If you take one thing away, remember this tip: it is almost always cheaper to wait to buy Braves tickets until the day of the game. This is the case for almost all concerts, events and games. There are small exceptions like Taylor Swift concert tours, but for the most part, you will save money by waiting.

We’ll dive into this more in a bit. One note here, the following advice comes after going to a lot of Braves games. This is an honest review and we are not getting paid by any ticket sites with these tips.

Here’s what you need to know about finding cheap Braves tickets.

StubHub vs. Ticketmaster: What Is the Best Ticket Site to Use to Save Money on Braves Tickets?

One of the magical sunsets at Truist Park during a Braves game.

Is it better to buy Braves tickets on StubHub, Ticketmaster, SeatGeek, TickPick or another site? There is no right answer to this. I have gone to a lot of Braves games since moving to Atlanta in 2017, and I have used all these ticket sites at various times.

The best way to save money on seats is to start looking at ticket prices on multiple sites earlier in the week. Every Braves game is going to have a different average price.

Going to a Thursday afternoon game is most likely to be cheaper than a Friday night contest. As you start checking regularly on ticket prices, you are going to form a goal for how much money you want to spend.

For StubHub, we recommend turning on the filter to see the ticketing fees displayed versus getting a hefty surprise when you checkout. SeatGeek and TickPick traditionally automatically displays the price with fees. You can also adjust the settings to see the Ticketmaster fees when searching for tickets.

I’ve purchased tickets on my phone in front of the gates just minutes before the first pitch. If you really don’t care about seeing the first inning, you can also save money by waiting until the first pitch happens to buy tickets.

Be advised to allow time for the seller to transfer your tickets if you use a site like StubHub or SeatGeek. You’ll usually have to accept these via email then download the tickets. Ticketmaster automatically sends your tickets in the app which you can add to your phone’s wallet. So, there is no wait time.

When Is the Best Day & Time to Buy Braves Tickets?

There is really not an ideal day to purchase Braves tickets. I know it can be stressful not knowing where you are sitting, but typically the cheapest time to buy tickets is just before the game starts. Whether it is a couple hours or a few minutes, waiting to purchase Braves tickets will save you money.

I have also had some success buying tickets on the night before the game. You’ve already been monitoring the ticket prices, so you’ll know if you are seeing a good deal. Be sure to check ticket prices before you head to bed the night before gameday.

I’ve been able to sometimes save $100s of dollars for club seats or Chop House tickets just by being patient and waiting until the last minute to buy tickets. Why is this?

This is not like a pair of shoes you can list on eBay tomorrow if they do not sell today. Braves tickets have a shelf life with no value after the game. Sellers tend to get worried when tickets are not selling and drop the price.

Even for the World Series, I was able to land a ticket in the outfield that was originally listed at close to $2,000 for less than $1,000 hours before the first pitch. This is not exactly cheap, but it was a one-in-a-lifetime experience. The point is even for major playoff games, the Braves ticket prices typically drop as the event time gets closer.

As for when to go to Braves games, afternoon matchups are typically cheaper than night games. Not everyone can go to these games given their work schedules.

If you need to go to a weekend Braves game, Sunday afternoons tend to be more affordable than Friday or Saturday night matchups. Weekend night games are usually cheaper than weekend games.

The Cheapest Braves Tickets are Typically General Admission Which Are Standing Room Only (SRO)

One of the standing areas that fans have access to with Braves general admission tickets.

If you are looking for the absolute cheapest Braves ticket, it is almost always going to be general admission that is standing room only (known as SRO). These can be as low as $10 plus fees but are also higher for marquee games.

Is it worth it to have Braves standing room tickets without seats? The short answer is yes, but it depends on your situation. You need to be able to stand for long periods of time as you will not have a seat. It only get you into the stadium.

I have done the standing room tickets by myself, but it is better to do it in a group. If you have a general admission ticket by yourself, you are going to have to pick a new spot every time you go to the bathroom or get food.

If you have standing room tickets in a group, you can alternate people saving spots while the other gets food, goes to the restroom or walks around. So, where are the standing room areas at Braves games?

Be advised, the Braves have taken away some of these standing areas and turned them into club seating for 2024. In the past, I have been able to snag a spot directly behind home plate, the first base line or third base line in the 100s section.

To do so, you typically need to arrive early when the gates open. Truist Park typically opens gates two hours before the start time of games, but this is subject to change on weekends or giveaway days.

The higher sections or behind the outfield near the Chop House also typically offer standing areas. This can be an amazing experience for a good price if you are willing to stand and be without a seat for the entire game.

What Are the Best Braves Tickets to Buy?

The best Braves tickets to buy depends on what you are looking for and how much money you have to spend. If you are looking for the best value, you can find good deals on the Xfinity club seats.

This area is located in the second level behind home plate from sections 220 to 231. What do these Braves club seats include?

You get elevated concession options and access to a nice indoor common area with televisions and air condition, especially useful for games played during the hot Atlanta summers.

Snacks like popcorn and peanuts are included with each ticket and there are bins located in the walkways by the seats that you can take for free. Sometimes tickets purchased on sites like StubHub and SeatGeek include concession money loaded on your seat. Be sure to check the ticket listing for details.

I have been able to find these tickets for as low as $50 per seat in the past, but it depends on when you are going to the Braves game.

Braves outfield tickets are usually affordable and a good option as well. Tickets in the 300 and 400 levels are going to be your cheapest options and unlike the standing room purchases, will give you an actual seat.

My preference is the outfield over these higher level seats because you are closer to some of the action, but every fan is different. Young fans also like these seats for a chance to catch home run balls.

The absolute best Braves tickets you can buy are the club seats behind home plate. These tickets are not cheap as they typically go for $250 or more per seat.

It does come with an elaborate all you-can-eat spread with multiple food sections as well as alcohol. When compared to other club options in Atlanta like the Hawks and Falcons, the Braves have the nicest food options for fans.

You have access to a luxurious indoor space with all the food and drink offerings. There is even a person who throws out ice cream sandwiches to fans during games so you don’t have to leave your seats.
