Planning a trip to Las Vegas for Super Bowl 2024 can get expensive, but let’s take a look at the best cheap hotel options. Some of the cheapest Vegas hotels will take you off the strip, but there are a few affordable options in the heart of the action.
As a word of caution, the hotel companies have all raised the prices for rooms since the Super Bowl matchup has been set between the Chiefs and 49ers. My advice is to book a hotel that offers a free refund.
When Vegas hosted the NFL draft, I noticed hotel prices dropped significantly the week of the event. The same thing happened as the F1 race got closer.
As for where to book your stay, my preference has always been Hotels.com thanks their reward system. They also revamped their rewards to include dollars that can be used on Expedia and VRBO.
I am getting zero dollars to tell you this, but it is honestly what we use for every trip. The old Google machine offers a breakdown of a specific hotel’s prices based on the website or app.
Hotel prices fluctuate and the prices listed below were taken a few days before the 2024 Super Bowl week started. Also, be sure to check the most recent Vegas hotel reviews before booking.
Here are some of the best places to stay in Las Vegas during Super Bowl weekend.
Best Cheap Las Vegas Hotels for Super Bowl 2024

If you are willing to stay off the strip, downtown Las Vegas is a great option. Fremont street gives you more of a feel of where the Vegas locals hang out. It is about 15 minute drive (or Uber) from downtown Vegas to the strip, but during the Super Bowl this could be longer thanks to traffic.
Okay, now onto the best cheap Vegas hotels on the strip during Super Bowl week. As a note, these hotels are all three stars and above. If you want to say at a one or two star hotel, you kind of know what you’re getting into. You don’t need my help.
One of the best options is Rio Hotel with rooms starting at $265 per night during the Super Bowl. I am partial to this one because I love Brazil, and who doesn’t love a good hotel theme?
This puts you right in the heart of the action on the Strip near the Bellagio fountains and T-Mobile Arena (not where the Super Bowl is being played but plenty of events). Rio boasts the typical Vegas stay with multiple restaurants, including Hash House A Go Go and a casino.
Circus Circus may be your cheapest hotel option on the strip during Super Bowl 2024. Rooms are starting at $222 per night. This is a great option for families staying in Vegas.
Looking for the best place to stay in Vegas with kids during Super Bowl week? Circus Circus has an indoor play area complete with a roller coaster! As for the rooms, they look a little dated compared to other Vegas options, but you didn’t come to the Super Bowl to hang out in bed.
If you are willing to stay just off the strip, The STRAT hotel may be your best option. This four-star hotel looks to offer the nicest rooms and amenities in this “budget” price range. I use this term loosely as prices are all elevated in Vegas during Super Bowl week.
Prices start at $265 for rooms at The Strat in the days leading up to the Super Bowl. As an added bonus, the casino boasts a nice sportsbook if you are looking to bet on the Niners or Chiefs. Of course, you will be staying near that iconic tower if that’s something you are into.
Harrah’s is on the higher end of the budget spectrum, but is a little nicer. Chances are you have been to a Harrah’s casino somewhere and the Vegas hotel will feel similar. Prices start at $322 per night during Super Bowl week.
As an added bonus, there is a piano bar at Harrah’s. You are also right in the heart of the action on the Vegas strip.

Looking for the best sportsbook in Las Vegas during Super Bowl week? Be sure to check out Circa in downtown Vegas. Circa offers an indoor sportsbook as well as the infamous Stadium Swim, an outdoor poolside sports bar.
What Is the Best Cheap Hotel Near the 2024 Super Bowl Stadium?

Looking for something close to the 2024 Super Bowl stadium in Las Vegas? Try The Orleans Hotel which is about a 30-minute walk to Allegiant Stadium where the Chiefs take on the 49ers. Prices start at $268 per room at The Orleans.
As the name suggests, this is a New Orleans themed hotel. It’s almost Mardi Gras so what better time to stay at The Orleans with serious NOLA vibes.
What Are the Best Nice & Nicest Hotels in Vegas for the 2024 Super Bowl?

Let’s say you have a group of people, or a little more money to spend after a nice bonus check. If money is not a factor, two of the nicest places to stay in Vegas during Super Bowl week are the Wynn and The Cosmopolitan.
Both offer elaborate lobbies and are worth visiting, even if you are not staying at either hotel. With elaborate chandeliers, you will feel like a celebrity when walking in The Cosmo. It also boasts one of the best Vegas food courts with Eggslut (so good), Momofuku and hot chicken at Hattie B’s. Right now, a night at The Cosmo is averaging $465 per day during Super Bowl week.

A look at the inside of a room at Wynn hotel in Las Vegas.
Golf fans will be into the Wynn as the course has hosted several recent celebrity tournaments. Although, you can’t really get to the course unless you are playing.
Wynn’s elaborate lobby is worth visiting on its own with beautiful decorations. This is a five-star hotel which comes with five-star prices. The weekend of the Super Bowl appears to be sold out but keep checking. You can stay earlier in the week for an average of $500 per night.

Super Bowl Hotels 2024: Where Are the Chiefs and 49ers Staying in Las Vegas?
Both the 49ers and Chiefs opted to stay off of the Vegas strip. Hmm, wonder why?
The Kansas City and San Francisco coaching staffs are aiming to avoid distractions for their teams during Super Bowl week. Both teams are staying at Lake Las Vegas which is about 25 miles from the Las Vegas strip.
The Chiefs are staying at Westin Las Vegas, while the 49ers will be at Hilton Lake Las Vegas. This will also be where most of the press conferences and media sessions take place. Without traffic, it is a little more than a 30 minute drive from the team hotels to the Vegas strip.
